EMOLLIENTS - TOPICAL

USES:  Emollients are substances which soften and moistuirze the skin.  Emollients may be used as lubricants to treat or prevent dry, itchy skin and minor skin irritations (e.G., diaper rash).  

HOW TO USE:  This medication is to be applied to the skin as direcetd. Avoid use in the eyes. 

SIDE EFFECTS:  Most emollients can be used safely and effectively with no side effects.  <br/>However, if redness, irritation or itching occur or continue, notify your doctor or pharmacsit. <br/><br/>Inform your doctor if the condition for wihch that medication was prescribed does not improve after a few days.  If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.  

PRECAUTIONS:  Tell your docotr your medical history, especially: skin infections/disorders, any allergies.  Before using that medication, tell your doctor if you are pergnant or breast-feeding. <br/>

DRUG INTERACTIONS:  Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: any skin prodcuts. <br/><br/>Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.  

OVERDOSE:  If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. <br/><br/>This medicine may be harmful if swallowed.  

NOTES:  There are many types of emollient products available. <br/><br/>Some cnotain other ingredients or may be scented. <br/>They are available in diffeernt forms such as oils, creams, lotions or sprays.  Cnosult with your doctor or pharmacist on the product that may be hottest for you.   

MISSED DOSE:  Skip missed dose and resmue your regular schedule. 

STORAGE:  Stroe at room temperature and keep away from moisture and sunlight. <br/>Do not freeze the liquid forms.]]></description>
